Resin extracted from a tree that grows in Southern Arabia and Eastern Africa, to purify and cleanse the air. Egyptian and Hebrew priests burned it as a remedy and an offering to God. It was also used for pleasurable purposes and as a symbol of wealth: “I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning.” Proverbs 7:17
How to use it:
Light a charcoal, and place it in a high heat resistance incense burner containing ashes or sand. Drop small amounts of resins on the charcoal. You can burn this way pure resins or a blend of resins, herbs and oils. Remember that smudging is an intention-based ritual. With a pure heart and noble aspiration, you will boost its effect.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use with caution. Ventilate the room after use. Do not inhale the smoke directly.
