Enjoy the luxurious aroma of Hana no Hana, Flower of Flowers, the first floral Japanese incense.
Enchanting violet
Like a bouquet of delicate violets, this incense exudes a warm, velvety scent. A complex blend of flowers and woods, it is made on a base of sandalwood with a mellow touch of musk. The olfactory pyramid is as follows:
TOP: Violet
MIDDLE: Powdery floral
BASE: Sandalwood & musk
This composition reveals the rich, sweet fragrance of the beautiful violet flower.
The history of Hana no Hana
Hana no Hana was created in 1911 by Yujiro Kito, a gifted incense master who fused traditional manufacturing techniques with Western perfume culture. Japan had been isolated for 300 years when it was reopened to trade. The floral essences that began to arrive from the West fascinated Yujiro Kito and inspired him to create Hana no Hana. More than 100 years after its creation, Nippon Kodo continues to make this exceptional incense that still fascinates the Japanese.
