Tuned to the melody of Pokare Kare Ana, a 20th-century Maori love song, this wind chime pays tribute to the indigenous people of New Zealand. Thanks to the windcatcher in the shape of a traditional mask, or koruru, you will be charmed by the music of love every time the wind blows.
This Maori wind chime is part of the Woodstock Passport collection, which lets you travel the world without leaving your home! In that case, we head to New Zealand, called Aotearoa in Maori, 'the land of the great white cloud'. Located about 2,000 kilometres from Australia, it was one of the last territories to be colonised by man. The first Polynesians arrived on the north island by canoe around 1250, and went on to develop a culture of their own known today as Maori.
The tubes of this wind chime carry a lifetime tuning guarantee.
