The Sanskrit word paramita means perfection. It refers to the vertues we have to develop to reach enlightenment. Paramitas are often compared to a rowboat that allows us to go from the shore of suffering to the one of transcendency.
The shape of the Paramita incense holder evokes this rowboat and reminds us the path to follow. The cube allows to burn Japanese incense both vertically and horizontally. Horizontally, you will be able to adjust the combustion time of each stick as it will stop burning when reaching the metal part.
