Incense was reserved for religious ceremonies until Japanese aristocracy started to use it during the Heian period (794-1185). Selected with an extreme rigour, the Kyara Heian incense is a tribute to these old times. Discover the fresh note of this old Vietnamese agarwood and savour the deep scent of the most highly prized aromatic aloeswood, called kyara in Japan.
Nippon Kodo uses rare high-quality natural ingredients: woods, herbs, and spices are blended following long-cherished traditional techniques in order to make exceptional quality incense. Each stick has been handmade and handled as if it was a jewel.
