The osmanthus tree, also called fragrant olive or tankei in Chinese, blooms in autumn. Its fruity, lightly citrus flavouring is typically oriental and, for us, exotic and mysterious. According to Chinese mythology, the phases of the moon are produced by an osmanthus tree that grows on it.

Taiyo Tankei incense is made in Hong Kong from accurately selected raw materials. Known as the fragrant harbour, Hong Kong has always been a prime spot for spices and perfume trade. Since 1575 Nippon Kodo has been manufacturing incense with superior quality raw materials, combining its precious tradition of craftsmanship with the most modern technologies.
