Flamenco is an artistic expression that was born in Andalusia, in the south of Spain, in the 18th century. Of uncertain origin, we know that it is the result of the crossbreeding of Arab-Andalusian music, the Jewish musical system, Mozarabic folk songs and the songs of the gypsy people.

There are more than 50 different flamenco styles called palos, ranging from the most severe and serious to the lightest and most frivolous. Its main facets are singing, guitar playing and dancing. In 2010, Unesco declared it Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
