French Romance Chime
This beautiful chime is tuned to the last chord of the song Hymne à L'Amour (Hymn to Love), written by Edith Piaf. The lyrics were inspired by her love story with Marcel Cerdan, a famous French boxer. She sang it for the first time in September 1949 in New York. A few weeks later, Marcel Cerdan would tragically die in a plane crash, on his way to meet her. Since then, many artists have sung this intense Hymn to Love, from Cindy Lauper to Fubuki Koshiji. This chime is our tribute to The Little Sparrow Edith Piaf and the endless power of love.
